Ocean & River Adventures on Kauai

Paddle along the Na Pali coastline for unbeatable views of sea cliffs, ancient lava tubes, and waterfalls that flow into the sea. Kauai is also home to the Wailua River, the only navigable river in the Hawaiian Islands. Kayaking up the river will grant you access to the remote but beautiful natural amphitheater called Fern Grotto.

Wailua River Riverboat

The Wailua River can be toured by riding on an old-fashioned flat riverboat, or by kayak. A perfect excursion for families, the ride up the tranquil river weaves through gorgeous waterfalls and lush, jungle landscapes along the island’s East Side.

Catamaran Sailing

Translated as “the cliffs,” Na Pali is a fifteen-mile stretch of rugged coastline on the northwest shore of Kauai. Much of the coast cannot be accessed because of its steep cliffs that drop straight down thousands of feet into the ocean below. One of the most popular ways to experience Na Pali is to take a sailing catamaran boat tour. If you're lucky, you may spot dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
